During his time as a major player with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (WI-DOC), Brad Hompe has worked his way up through the ranks, starting as a corrections officer, sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, unit manager and deputy warden and, eventually, warden. Obviously, Brad Hompe has performed nearly every job there is to do in a prison environment. Besides leading the development and implementation of corrections programs, Brad has provided a wide range of services in prisons and jails throughout Wisconsin and nationally.

These days, Brad Hompe is considered a reliable expert on all levels of prison operations. That level of expertise is likely based on his is probably due to his experience in all aspects of jail operations, including jail and prison planning and design and policy development in a number of important areas, such as proper use of force, the development and implementation of training and evaluation and incident management. Brad Hompe even has expertise when it comes to food service, sanitation and maintenance, classification and supervision and fire safety.
